Luis Manuel Diaz's exhibition El Césped del Otro Lado (The Grass on The Other Side) at Blue Sky Gallery examines the post-migration consciousness through a familial lens. Depicting fragments of everyday rituals and sights, the work highlights the multigenerational complexities caused by immigration. Simultaneously, the work is a celebration and critique of what has come from the search for the American Dream. The work is a reclamation of bodies, gaze, and history.
