Strata Editions, a new experimental photography space in Livingston, Montana, recently launched with a series of prints by Susan Lipper, Carlos Jaramillo, Ian Bates, Zora J Murff, and more.
The collection, entitled Western Contemporary, studies and celebrates present reflections, visions, and connections of place, beings, and ideas in the American West. Through a thematic approach to visual and material work, Strata Editions explores the intricate connections between photography, individual identity, surroundings, and creative processes. A collection of photobooks, prints, and furniture designed in-house serve as narratives that delve into the complexities of human experience, offering insights into both personal journeys and the art of storytelling itself.
