When photographer Feng Li published his first book of color photographs, White Night, he set aside an equally arresting collection of black-and-white photos that were the starting point and inspiration for his current work. That work is now published by Jiazazhi in a new book, Good Night. Despite the difference in color between White Night and Good Night, there is still Feng Li’s way of seeing this world. In his eyes, black is more than just black. To him, this book is a farewell, farewell to the good old times.
