The KAWS:HOLIDAY series has just announced its 10th stop, this time in Indonesia amongst the Prambanan temples in the historic city of Yogyakarta. KAWS' iconic and enigmatic character, which always reminds us of lost youth and childhood innocence and a bit of the "things we leave behind in life that we can't get back," has the ability to blend in, or respond to the environment like a lost toy.  Launched in 2018, the KAWS:HOLIDAY worldwide exhibition tour organized by AllRightsReserved

For this tenth stop on the tour, world renowned artist KAWS rejoins long-time collaborator AllRightsReserved to bring a new monumental sculpture to Prambanan – Indonesia’s largest Hindu temple complex and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For the first time in KAWS:HOLIDAY’s six year tour, the artist will reintroduce “ACCOMPLICE” which first appeared as a vinyl figure released by KAWS in 2002. It will also be KAWS’s first artwork shown at a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built in the 9th century, the Prambanan temple complex was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1991. Dedicated to the Hindu divinities, the temples are adorned with stone relief sculptures that depict spiritual lore, divine heroes, and animals. The site is known for its tall, pointed architecture, with the central temple’s pinnacle reaching 47 meters in height. The 45-meter-long artwork will be the largest sculpture the artist has produced to date.

An opening ceremony on August 18th to unveil the KAWS:HOLIDAY exhibition in Indonesia. There will also be a collection to mark the occasion, launching on August 17th at 11pm EDT on the DDT Store.
