Jack Sachs Fiberglass Sculptures Add Positivity to People Leaving Lockdown in Chengdu, China
"My ideal sandwich is the kind of sandwich you make when you go back to your parents house and use all of their ingredients, which are always marginally higher quality than the ones I would buy for myself," Jack Sachs told us in our interview back in 2016. "It’s called a 'home sandwich' and it’s a thing." Thinking of Sachs' work always puts us in a good mood, and that is actually what the curators of his new sculptures in Chengdu, China. As Sachs said on his IG, "the fibreglass sculptures (are) crrently installed at the IFS in Chengdu, the idea of these sculptures is to promote positivity in a city emerging from lockdown." He continues, "there's a QR code that links you to play an AR mahjong mini game on your phone!"
