It's interesting that when we think about aliens or otherworldly phenomenon, we tend to think of something rural or even desert-like in its imagery. It seems apt then that we would almost associate a sense of mid-century modernism to a bit of UFO imagery, as our post-WWII world has been often obsessed with the Roswell incident of 1947. And alas, this is where Happy Spaces sort of fits in.

La Luz de Jesus Gallery is pleased to present Happy Spaces, the largest solo exhibition to date by artist Zachary Friedberg, aka Speczacular, fon view rom January 15—February 5,2023. The opening reception will be held on Saturday, January 14, from 4—8 pm.  Happy Spaces consists of 21 new paintings that feature iconic Southern Californian mid-century modern architecture with Friedberg’s surreal and futuristic twist.
