Over the past few years we have been completely enthralled with the works of Koak, the San Francisco-based painter who has quickly emerged as a a favorite amongst the international art scene. She has had a steady stream of solo shows and part of group shows, even had a few stunning works at Frieze in Los Angeles this past Spring, and she recently opened a new solo show, Holding Breath, at Union Pacific in London.
Once again, Koak is evolving her characters, with thick, elegant gestures and almost surreal like expressions. Her work just immediately feels original and moving, one of our favorite artists of the moment. Take a look at her new works in the gallery above.
