As we were doing research on paintings and painters that have used their careers to create bodies of work dealing with social interactions, we were reminded of the beach and body works by Taiwanese-born painter, Hilo Chen. The artist, who was part of our Juxtapoz Hyperreal book, has spent his career on this beach scenes and nudes, a voyeuristic series that in many ways creates a dreamy and almost-too-distant world of social interaction and leisure.
