We became huge fans of the oil on paper and canvas works of Paris-based Elladj Lincy Deloumeaux after seeing his solo show work from Perrotin Dubai, and wanted to dedicate today's A Portfolio to the artist's work.
Born in 1995 in Les Abymes, Elladj Lincy Deloumeaux now lives and works between the Paris region and West Africa. Yet the memories of his native island of Guadeloupe are always with him, serving as recurring images in his work. Elladj recently completed a long residency in Ivory Coast and Senegal, and his work bears traces of the cultural fusion specific to the waters of the Black Atlantic.
