In conjunction with the release of Slipknot's new b-side, "Bone Church," Juxtapoz has an exclusive music video release from director, M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan. The video piece itself is titled “Yen – Director’s Cut (Bone Church),” and we love Clown because he once declared in a GQ interview that he is not “most people.” As the founder of Slipknot, he is goddamn right. And so we asked Clown about this new video, and he told us, which again points to him being fucking right about being not like most people...

“We are all done with what ‘is.’ I’ve decided to unwind, if you will, what it is I’ve created," Clown says. "Overdue for the intentional red slash over their templates and formulas. We change behavior by standing up, and laying down the law, for one’s own scratch. This is my new scratch. It’s here to infect. It’s interesting to me, whether you’re paying attention, or just paying. We are all headed for the Bone Church.”

From the band: "GRAMMY Award-winning Iowan icons SLIPKNOT have shared “Bone Church,” a surprise standalone single available today on all streaming platforms

Says clown about the new track, “On the road, we have a “jam room” set up backstage at every show, where we play, practice, warm up and sometimes try out new ideas.  Bone Church started life in a jam room on the .5: The Gray Chapter tour.  We’ve been bringing it closer and closer to life ever since, and finally, here it is. This one is for the fans - a further vision deeper into Slipknot’s history, which is still being written. Enjoy.”
