On February 14th, Addam Yekutieli (AKA Know Hope) will present his first Tel Aviv solo exhibition in 4 years at Gordon Gallery. A Pathology of Hope will be built as an immersive installation, a large index composed of found objects, mixed media work and elements from artist's recurring iconography.

Presenting his work as cataloged artifacts, the artist, who we featured in our Summer 2018 issue, is creating an intentional distance from his otherwise very personal and poetic work. Almost as if accenting the factuality of his research and conceptions, each component in the exhibition is numbered and assigned a text listed in an adjacent index.

In a similar way to the compelling mural he painted last summer in Jerusalem, Yekutieli now urges the viewer to reflect on the notion of Hope in an attempt to re-imagine reality. Multilayered, deeply personal, and left open to interpretation, the artist aims to evoke an accumulation of subjective experiences that can create a new reality.

We'll be closely following the building and the opening of this exhibition and will be bringing a full review once the installation is complete and opened to the public.––Sasha Bogojev
