The Superfest Disability Film Festival is Back for the 37th Edition
Superfest Disability Film Festival is coming this week, and whether you are joining in person in the Bay Area or online anywhere in the world, you need to be a part of it! Superfest is the longest running disability film festival in the world. Since 1970, it has celebrated cinema that portrays disability through a diverse, unabashed and engaging lens, and we can't wait to come together as a community to take in this much-loved disability cultural event for its 37th festival, hybrid for the second year, with new levels of access. Reserve your passes here.
The festival will run virtually October 19th through 22nd with all 15 films available for screening online.
There wil be two in-person screenings:
—The Freight and Salvage in downtown Berkeley Saturday October 21, 12-2pm, including a chance to meet filmmakers after the screening. Click here for Saturday's details, access information, and COVID protocols.
—The Asian Art Museum in downtown San Francisco, Sunday October 22, 1-3:30pm, including a filmmaker panel following the screening. Click here for Sunday's details, access information, and COVID protocols. Even our in-person programs have passes available starting at $0!
We will host a virtual community chat with Superfest filmmakers and attendees Saturday October 21, 5-7pm PT. Host a watch party! Select the "Watch Party" pass option and bring your community together to screen these films (instructions to support watch parties here!).
