Jux Saturday School: "George Orwell: A Life in Pictures" Docudrama Is a Great Watch For These Eerie Days
As the art world will come to a standstill for the next few weeks or months due the Coronavirus, Juxtapoz will be highlighting a series of films, classic interviews and documentaries that we hope people will watch during their downtime. For the past few years on our Instagram account, we have been presenting #JuxSaturdaySchool, informative and vintage shorts from the world of art, curated by Josh Jefferson. Now we will extend Jux Saturday School to our site, curated by the staff and contributors of Juxtapoz. Today, we take a look at the BBC docudrama (yes, these are actors) George Orwell: A Life in Pictures, which aired back in 2003. (Thank you EKTA for the rec!)
From Wikipedia: George Orwell: A Life in Pictures is a 2003 BBC Television docudrama telling the life story of the British author George Orwell. Chris Langham plays the part of Orwell. No surviving sound recordings or video of the real George Orwell have been found.
