Case Studyo has teamed up with NYC-based sculptural painter, Greg Bogin, on what we would call an anti-selfie mirror sculpture: literally a mirror with a hole cut in the middle. Mr. Sunshine is a "yellow acrylic mirror that twists the purpose mirrors generally serve while showing the world in an uplifting light." The Belgian design studio seems to be having a recent love affair for collectible mirrors after working with Josh Sperling on a separate mirror work not too long ago.

From the studio: Mirrors are typically devices of vanity that deliver a representation of how they appear to the world. In "Mr. Sunshine", Bogin flips this notion by putting a ‘hole’ in the middle of a mirror so that receiving one's reflection by looking directly into it becomes a challenge. The hole creates a void where the viewer’s reflection would be, an experience that negates the ego and demands awareness. Expertly crafted from high-quality yellow acrylic with screen-printed neon accents, "Mr. Sunshine" reveals the world in an uplifting light, radiating positive energy to its viewer. Staring into "Mr. Sunshine" calms the mind and boosts energy levels by shifting the focus on the beauty that surrounds us all.
