We woke up this morning with confirmation of news about Banksy and his new work spied on the streets of Nottingham, England. Indeed, the piece is a very clever use of the typical street scene. The elusive one saw the broken down bicycle in front of the wall of a neighborhood beauty salon and painted a young girl, who herself adapted to the environment, by hula-hooping with the "lost" tire.

As the BBC noted, Nottingham remains the city with the highest coronavirus infection rates in the UK, but perhaps Banksy chose the city as a "nod to the city's famous Raleigh factory." The BBC interviewed a local woman, Amanda Forest, 49, who said, "With Nottingham being in the headlines because of Covid, it's something to put a smile on your face... Even if you're not interested in art, everyone knows Banksy." Absolutely.
