This past weekend The Popular Workshop had an opening party for Remains in the End Times, a multi-layered show featuring mostly video art from Yoshi Sodeoka, Rosa Menkman, Daniel Menche, J.K. Keller, and Cristopher Cichocki with prints curated by Jesse Lee Stout. The art in this exhibit is all around you, intense, frenetic, and unrelenting. The highlight is an installation of video art in the far corner made of deconstructed Simpsons episode.

Valencia-based street artist and illustrator, Hyuro opens a solo exhibition, Casual Anomalies this Thursday at the Starkart gallery in Zurich, Switzerland. We watched a lot of Hyuro works in progress at Nuart this past Fall, and the works were really well executed with strong concepts. This show will be no less.

This is a portrait of my father, and it only took 3.2 million dots to complete it. So is the work of Miguel Endara, who used several different Micron pens to recreate a portrait of his father that was made on a photocopier. Charming Baker, whom we are preparing a feature in the magazine right now, had a sold-out show, Everything Must Go, at Mercer Street Studio in London this past summer, and the UK-artist was kind enough to share his video made during the exhibition. Along with new paintings there was a collection of bronze busts and prints at the show.
