We just came across some impressive new pieces by South African street artist Faith47, including a new mural up in London entitled 'London. You Beast.' Based in Cape Town, Faith47's works of art can be found on both city and gallery walls worldwide, with pieces and exhibits in Europe, America, Australia and her native South Africa. Her works often incorporate the grit of the urban environment, testaments to finding the beauty in the harsh realities of city life.

Steve Powers aka Espo will be opening a new solo exhibition tomorrow, May 18, 2013, entitled “Visual Blues” at Alice Gallery in Brussels. In Powers’s own words, “I’m in awe of the power and the reach of music. To compete with the majesty of music, I make paintings that are visual blues. I distill my everyday experience into paintings I call Daily Metaltations. They are painted very fast, fresh from the epiphanies that inspired them. The larger paintings draw from those metaltations and go to a deeper understanding of the transactions we make everyday to live our lives.”

On Monday, we posted photos of an abandoned billboard that artist La Pandilla had brought to life for the Painted Desert Project. The ongoing project organized by artists, Yote and Jetsonorama, has brought numerous artists to the Navajo country region of Northern Nevada to meet local residents and create murals. La Pandilla has added another piece to the barren landscape, this time the images of a Buffalo and a Bear with a small town on their backs. This mural is located somewhere on the side of a merchant stand in Bitter Springs, AZ.
