We saw this great wire and paper stop-motion video for Professor Kliq's Plastic and Flasghing Lights and have re-watched it quite a few times since. Created by the French studio Patador Prod, the video was made using only bent wire and paper!

Music Video: Shugo Tokumaru "Katachi" http://www.juxtapoz.com/music/music-video-shugo-tokumaru-qkatachiq http://www.juxtapoz.com/music/music-video-shugo-tokumaru-qkatachiq Music Video: Shugo Tokumaru
Stop-motion seems like it has been around and been done well for a long time now, but we still get a kick out of a really well done stop-motion animation. The music video for Shugo Tokumaru's Katachi features a long winding tale of stop-motion fun by directors Kijek/Adamski. It sort of crawls along, literally, and features a footballer, a wolf, a palm tree, an explosion, and people radiating positive vibes.

(notes on) biology http://www.juxtapoz.com/current/notes-on-biology http://www.juxtapoz.com/current/notes-on-biology (notes on) biology
I was never a good doodler. I tried, but mainly I made attempts at recreating the Stussy and Mossimo signature logos when any class that wasn't English or History. So I get the doodling during Biology class routine, but I was never this good. Created by Danny Madden, Will Madden, and Jonathan Silva of Ornana Films, this short (notes on) biology, won an animation award at last year's SXSW.

Stop Motion: The Modern Dance by Rogier Wieland http://www.juxtapoz.com/current/stop-motion-the-modern-dance-by-rogier-wieland http://www.juxtapoz.com/current/stop-motion-the-modern-dance-by-rogier-wieland Stop Motion: The Modern Dance by Rogier Wieland
Video stills, to cardboard cutouts, to stop motion video. Although perhaps we may not have the biggest opinion on modern dance, or even the great critical eye, Rogier Wieland's work in this stop-motion is fantastic, and we can only assume time-intensive. Some of the scenes of waving arms must have taken days!

We may have missed posting this on Halloween, but here on Juxtapoz.com, if you can create something that can sort of scare us, intrigue us, and make us watch 3 times in a row like Erica Luke just did, then we are going to post it 12 months out of the year. Watch this great stop-motion after the jump . . .

We don't care if you are tired of cats on the web, because what Lee Hardcastle does is beyond just cats. He recreates films with claymation cats, violence and gore all included. His newest claymation is a remake of the 2011 Indonesian film, The Raid, an extremely violent movie directed by Gareth Evans. But we are here to talk about cats.

"Things Change': Stop-Motion Mural by British artist, Jo Peel http://www.juxtapoz.com/current/qthings-change-stop-motion-mural-by-british-artist-jo-peel http://www.juxtapoz.com/current/qthings-change-stop-motion-mural-by-british-artist-jo-peel
We really enjoyed this stop-motion, mural timelapse this morning. From what British street artist Jo Peel writes about her mural and subsequesnt video piece, what we have here is a "3 week painting condensed into a 3 minute animation. This is a short story told on a big wall at Village Underground in Shoreditch, London." Its quite good.
