Last month was busy, so busy we forgot to mention that Brooklyn-based collective, Faile, installed a sculpture entitled “Wolf Within” at the National Garden Park in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The piece depicts a man on his knees cloaked in a wolf pelt tearing away at his two-piece suit.

Hurricane Sandy’s aftermath left many cities and towns on the Eastern Seaboard inoperable or completely destroyed, many having to rebuild on their own without any government assistance. The beach communities of the Far Rockaway and Coney Island in Queens were greatly affected. A group of New Yorkers came together to help their recovery process by setting up a silent auction and fundraiser with 100% of the proceeds going to the communities.
