The Fulton Mall facing Albee Square in Brooklyn, Ny received a much needed renovation courtesy of the skillful hand of Steven Powers.  The artist recently painted a huge parking garage in Downtown Brooklyn and there will surely be several more popping up in the future.  Is Powers a sneaker connoisseur or jabbing at our consumerism behavior?

The Underwater Worlds of Jason DeCaires Taylor

Jason DeCaires Taylor is an English sculptor specializing in the creation of underwater sculptures, which over time develop into artificial coral reefs. Taylor integrates his skills as a conservationist, underwater photographer and scuba diving instructor to produce unique installations that encourage the habitation and growth of corals and marine life. Overtime the sculptures become even more esthetically pleasing due to growth and coloring.

Here is a complimentary collaboration between Maarten Alexander and Rul3rs in Rotterdam, Netherlands.  Located on the walls of Minimall (Raampoortstraat 30, Rotterdam) these wheat pastes will be on display for the next two months.  It’s always nice to see film grain in strong portraiture.

Cloud Gate

"Cloud Gate, a public sculpture by Indian-born British artist Anish Kapoor, is the centerpiece of the AT&T Plaza in Millennium Park within the Loop community area of Chicago, Illinois.  Constructed between 2004 and 2006, the sculpture is nicknamed "The Bean" because of its bean-like shape. Made up of 168 stainless steel plates welded together, its highly polished exterior has no visible seams."

Lugano Skate Park

Back in 2009, Never Crew took a trip to Lugano, Switzerland to renovate a skate park that consists of all bowls.  Painting twirling waves and octopus arms reaching out from the water, this spot is visually stunning and on our list of destinations to visit when traveling through Europe.
