Music Video: Portugal. The Man "Modern Jesus" dir AG Rojas

Music // Tuesday, August 20, 2013
Portugal. The Man have been making great videos for years, but this recent gem from director AG Rojas for the track "Modern Jesus" may be our favorite to date. Just kind of watching the world go by in all its beautiful destruction and almost drug-fueled banality. Love this clip...

Music Video: Nabil Directs Just Blaze & Baauer's "Higher"

Music // Thursday, August 15, 2013
The new video for Just Blaze & Baauer's latest track "Higher" is one of the most beautifully shot we have seen in a while. However, this is not surprising considering renowned director Nabil is the man behind it. The video tells the the epic story of a group of Kalaripayattu warriors (martial artists) and a spirited young kid in Kerala, India, who leads his fellow child vigilantes to fight a drunk bully.

Enjoy the animated video directed by Stephen McNally.

Music Video: King Krule "Easy Easy"

Music // Tuesday, August 13, 2013
It kind of blows our minds that someone this young, such as the 18-year old UK-based musician King Krule, can be so confident and this good. We have known about King Krule for a bit now, but his new video for "Easy Easy" which shows two young British lads going around looking up to no good, even getting involved in some tags and what not, is one of the best songs we have heard all year, and just an interesting video treatment to enjoy this morning. Directed by Focus Creeps.

Music Video: Fiona Apple "Hot Knife" directed by Paul Thomas Anderson

Music // Thursday, July 25, 2013
Paul Thomas Anderson is no stranger to making the simple look elegant and breathtaking, with most of his films being minimal on the special effects but maximist on detail and subtle actions. So when he took over the director role for Fiona Apple's "Hot Knife" video, he took the same approach and created a graceful and classic-feeling video treatment. Enjoy.
