Franc-Blanc is the bi-coastal duo of Graham French and Danny White, who after years of performing under the radar as Dangraham, have finished their debut album, "Since it's been so long." The nine tracks span two years of writing from their studio in Balboa Park (SF), to a retreat on Fogo Island in Newfoundland, to Danny's new home in NYC, using all hardware, with the exception of a few "phone-synth-riffs" composed on the Subway.

The War On Drugs have given 2014 one of its first great rock albums in "Lost In a Dream", a mixture of Bruce Springsteen and even early 1980's Bowie vibe put through a Philly filter. The music video for the single "Red Eyes" has director Anthony Zagarella having a bit of fun, with the band standing in well for judges of a talent show.

While it feels good to be back home in San Francisco after the craziness that is Austin during SXSW, we are already starting to miss the people we met, music we saw, and artists we worked with. This year, in the addition to public art projects, we also collaborated on special musical showcase, "Sight & Sound," with Brixton at the Yellow Jacket Social Club, featuring two huge line-ups including the newly reformed Coachwhips, Reigning Sound, Fresh & Onlys, Natural Child, Together Pangea, Drowning Men and more! It was only a matter of time when someone from a band called Animal Collective would work with Jim Henson's Creature Shop on some sort of project. Avey Tare (born David Portner), who was in Animal Collective and now fronts his own band, Avey Tare's Slasher Flicks (with an LP "Enter The Slasher House" out April 7/8th on Domino), has a new single and video out for the track "Little Fang." The song was inspired by Avey's cat, the video is directed by Avey's sister, Abby Portner, and the puppets are from Henson. Go watch.
