Street Art

Antony Lister will be showing all new work this Thursday February 23, 2012, at New Image Art Gallery in Los Angeles.  The artist will be displaying a variety of work from various mediums including sculpture, paintings, and prints.  The opening will more than likely have a performance piece as well.   Be sure to check this out if your in or around L.A.!

“Inspired by the way the material world revolves, how the spiritual world unfolds, life’s emotions, and the infinite space around us.”  Chinese street artist, Dal, recently painted these intricate black and white animals sprinting across a huge dilapidated wall in in Woodstock Cape Town.

In conjunction with the current group show at Kunsthalle Galapagos in Brooklyn, street artist, Other, painted this stunning new mural.  Great details in this piece and we love the sweater patterns!

This summer, MOMA PS1 in New York will be housing a large architectural spike in their courtyard courtesy of this years Young Architects Program winners, HWKN. Named Wendy, this piece will  be composed of nylon fabric treated with a ground breaking titania nanoparticle spray to neutralize airborne pollutants. Visitors will be able to climb up inside the huge structure, while those outside run the risk of being squirted by a water cannon hidden inside one of its arms.

Working successfully in a range of mediums that include sculpture, illustration,  and design, Smithe also creates intriguing work in the streets of Mexico.
