Moebius in Erotica

Juxtapoz // Saturday, October 13, 2012
A provocative rendering from Jean Henri Gaston Giraud, a French comic artist who earned worldwide fame, predominantly under the pseudonym Mœbius, and to a lesser extent Gir, which later appeared mostly in the form of a boxed signature at the bottom of the artist's paintings. Moebius contributed storyboards and concept designs to numerous science fiction and fantasy films, including Alien, Willow, Tron(1982), and The Fifth Element.

Video: ULTRA WIDE SPRAYS

Graffiti // Saturday, October 13, 2012
I don’t see why this artist is buffing the wall when he should be filling in a fill-in or catching a tag, but it looks like a pretty cool tool of the trade. Definitely would like to see a video of some blaster tags!

All You Need is Universe

Illustration // Friday, October 12, 2012
Karina Eibatova refers to nature, peace and love as the core of her work: In a maidenly and most delicate way, the Russian artist transforms floral motives into anthropomorphic forms and conjures up a magical and euphoric world, as a counterpoint against a remorseless, modern society and megapolis environment. Her artwork features a deft blend of surrealist elements and psychedelia...

Kim Ji-Hoon's Illustrated Realism

Illustration // Friday, October 12, 2012
These realistic pencil renderings from an artist by the name of Kim Ji-Hoon are seriously blowing my mind right now. I don't even think my eyes are capable of seeing that much detail, let alone re-creating it. We came across some intricatley drawn illustrations of body parts (Arnold Schwarzenegger throwback), landscapes and animals from this incredible talent who chooses to remain pretty anonymous.

Pardee's Pick: The Art of Steven Daily

Juxtapoz // Friday, October 12, 2012
LA based painter Steven Daily's imagination runs both deep and dark. So dark, in fact, that I have always been pretty convinced that he must have sold his soul to some dark demon from his childhood in exchange for the ability to blend his paint the way he does!
