“The Contest of Meaning” by Kelia Anne MacCluskey
The Contest of Meaning is a body of work created by American photographer Kelia Anne MacCluskey during her travels in London, France, and Italy. Focusing on the notion of selective memory and how our mind remembers things at varying levels of clarity and truth, MacCluskey created images that embody both the lucid and manipulated qualities of memories. The images are soft and dreamy, lulling the viewer into a state of sweet nostalgia with their romantic pastels and vibrant youth.
