While searching Google images for scenic photos of the American South West, we came upon a collection of photos entitled Sightseer Series by photographer Roger Minick taken in the ‘80s. Beautifully shot of film, these highly saturated images show various tourists in bland and epic sightseeing locations, some posed while others candid.
We absolutely love everything about these images and it reminds us how of how fun it is to people watch at tourist locations. Minick, who continues to shoot today, has shown his work extensively since the ‘70s and is included in many museums permanent collections such as the MOMA, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, J. Paul Getty Museum, National Museum of American Art, John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation, and many countess others.
