Artist Eva Stenram began working on her ongoing series “Parts” in 2013. In “Parts” Stenram sources pin-up photos from the 1960’s and alters them so that the model photographed is erased leaving only one of the model’s legs intact. The images thus become strikingly odd and surreal. According to Stenram, “The result is a very artificial and theatrical image even though the depiction of the model is drastically censored and cut. As all the flesh is removed from the pin-up images, the viewer is left to revel in the textures and materials of the stockings, footwear and interior decor.”

Eva Stenram is currently based in London, England. You can follow her here on Twitter.
