Moore’s A Bears World is a series that focuses on a specific gay subculture, a sect that he himself is a part of, known as Bears. Contrary to the popular belief of a “stereotypical slender clean cut gay man,” a bear can be identified as often having a larger, more masculine frame and rugged outer appearance.

Moore knew from a young age that these were the type of men in which he was interested, therefore dedicating his time to making an on-going series of photographs that pertain to this lifestyle and the personal connections he makes within the bear community. Moore’s intension with this body is to “help people like (himself) to find a place to feel accepted for not finding the ‘normal’ attractive.” —Jordan Felix
