Zoya Cherkassky was born in Kiev, 1976 and lives and works in Tel Aviv. She graduated from HaMidrasha School of Art, Beit Berl in 1999 and from Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien, Berlin in 2003. Her works have always been politically charged combinding her own personal experiences as an artist, as an immigrant, and as a member of mixed families.
