Ursula Xanthe Young explores evocative landscapes adorned with pretty ladies in her new series, Against The Grain. Solo show reception 6-9pm Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Luna Rienne Gallery, 3318 22nd St., S.F. Through July 28.

Illustrator, painter, designer, San Francisco favorite, Ursula Xanthe Young will show her beautiful new series, Against The Grain, at Luna Rienne Gallery in San Francisco starting this Saturday. Fresh off the heels of an impressive 4ftx18ft commission for the Grand Hyatt SF in Union Square and a massive mural in Miami FL painted during Art Basel, Young has been painting her glorious heart out! Exploring new techniques, exciting patterns, and a more natural palette with a variety of different mediums, including graphite, ink, latex, wood stain, acrylic, and spray paint, Young presents new work that is just as evocative and gorgeously layered as we’ve come to expect from her. Opening reception 6-9pm Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Luna Rienne Gallery, 3318 22nd St., S.F. Through July 28. See you there!
