Wildcat... was kind of written in an obsolete vernacular. We love Wes Anderson, but to this day, The Royal Tenenbaums is his masterstroke, full of incredible dialogue and layers of detail that still delight today. One of the best parts of the movie? All the literary references and published works of the family, and the Criterion Collection recently posted a collection of book covers of Anderson's subjects. As Criterion writes, "These book and magazine covers all appear in Wes Anderson’s tale of an extended family with literary distinction (and, in one case, athletic infamy)."
