Marcas Gallery in Santa Ana hosted Sign Painters: An Exhibit Focusing on the Art of Sign Painting on Saturday, December 6th & 7th with a weekend focused on the art form of Sign Painting. The show features an exhibition of work from local and veteran Sign Painters, the ICY Caps font inspired show in the back room and an in person demonstration for the public with Disney Sign Painter Patrick G. Smith & Colt Bowden. Following the event they screened the critically acclaimed documentary ‘Sign Painters’ next door at their theater extension ‘The Frida Cinema’.
The exhibit is on display until January 14th and the month of December until the closing the front gallery has been converted into a satellite sign shop where local Sign Painters will be working for the public in attendance during gallery hours.
