Facial Portraits by Thérèse Le Prat

Thérèse Le Prat (1895-1966) was a French photographer, and her fascination with the human face and its capacity to express deep emotions pushed her work into portrature. In the sixties, she spent three years working with the mime Wolfram Mehring, using the make-up talents of Grillon, and produced a series of portraits called: Un seul visage en ses métamorphoses, where Le Prat explored all the possibilities offered by one single face.
