The third installment of Suggestivism, a critically acclaimed traveling exhibition curated by Nathan Spoor, takes on a new form under the wing of Mondo Pop Gallery in Rome. Operating as a pop-up gallery, Mondo Pop gained access to this monument of a building to host the exhibition. Built between 1885 and 1887 the building first hosted an aquarium and later became a place to store props and costumes for the nearby teatro dell’Opera.
Immediately following the Rome exhibition, the paintings will travel and be installed in the Rete Museala in Southern Italy and take on a new form as Suggestivism: The New Horizon. The Museum show will take place at the Galleria Provincale Santa Chiara in Cosenza, Italy and run June - Oct 2013.
The Suggestivism concept debuted at the Grand Central Art Center in 2011 and traveled last year to Bold Hype Gallery in NYC. Check out the large coffee table book with interviews available through Ginko Press.
