We just got a peek at Huskmitnavn upcoming project, a large show/installation that will take place at Copenhagen's Nikoloaj Kunsthal. The artist, who we recently interviewed on the site, is planning to use the main room of a former church as an interactive workshop space, with the special focus on the youngest visitors (just like his great drawing room at Beyond the Streets).
As an artist who supports creative expression from the youngest age, has done multiple projects with local schools and libraries and published a couple of coloring books, Huskmitavn loves creating works that regular people can identify and interact with. With this in mind, the exhibition will both show his folded paper works, some drawings, as well as wall murals, but those will be just the background for the main attractions. The installation will provide the possibility for kids to create their own works and display them, both on paper, on a cartoon train, as well as in a museum-like setting. We enjoyed the tour around the space even at this very early stage of the setup, and can only imagine how amazing the place will look once finished and filled with creative visitors.
The show is opening on August 29th and will stay on view through January 9th 2019.
