Our photographer Bird Man went down to San Diego to shoot this mural that legendary graffiti artist Risk was painting. It's kind of incredible how much a generous splash of color can change a huge amount of space.
The mural is at the corner of Florida St and University Ave. It was commissioned through Sequoia Investments, and has apartments upstairs and stores below. He took about 200 gallons of Novacolor paint and literally threw buckets of it at the wall. The mural took 10 days to complete.
