Mirus Gallery is pleased to present Nozzle, a solo show by local street artist Apexer

noz·zle
/ˈnäzəl/
Noun
A nozzle is a device designed to control the direction or characteristics of a fluid flow (especially to increase velocity) as it exits (or enters) an enclosed chamber or pipe.

Originally known as Ricardo Richey, Apexer is a street artist who creates colorful abstract patterns through the use of spray paint. His latest body of work comprises of various hand-styles that have his signature spin, with each work using hip-hop lyric canvases and modern minimalist canvases, along with new ideas coming out of the lab. The artist takes inspiration from the 'spray can,' in particular the 'nozzle.' While a traditional painter might use a brush or pen, Apexer's medium has always been the spray can, so it’s fitting that he focuses aesthetically, as well as conceptually on this medium.

"Nozzle" opens at Mirus Gallery on June 7, 2019, with a VIP/Press Rooftop Happy Hour from 6 to 7 pm followed by general admission from 7 to 10 pm.
