Rene Almanza has really interested us for years. We were lucky to spend extensive time with the Monterrey, Mexico based painter in San Francisco a few years back, and watched him build a series of portraits were both done in a classical stlye as well as contain hidden narratives of futuristic post-humanism. The artist just opened a new body of work, "Landscape," at FIFTY24MX Gallery. The show is open through June 6, 2014.
