"Go With The Flow: An Alternative Vision of the World" is an international exhibition of contemporary artists whose work reflects the energy and originality of the underground music scene. In conjunction with the summer music festival held annually in Lucca, Italy, the show is part of a special program of events, "L'immagine del suono," dedicated to highlighting the close creative ties between art and music. The show's title pays tribute to the alternative band Queens of the Stone Age and their internationally career-making LP from early 2000, Songs for the Deaf.
Curated by Alberto Mattia Martini, "Go With The Flow" provides a snapshot of today's thriving international contemporary art scene, featuring artists from over ten different countries and a variety of cultural backgrounds. Despite the immense diversity of their artistic production, the exhibition unites these artists in their uniqueness and unconventional creative sensibilities, mirroring the rebellious nature of underground music.
The show will take place in Villa Bottini, a 16th-century Tuscan villa, from August 11th until September 2nd. Opening reception is Saturday, August 11th, at 7PM.
