Drew Nikonowicz (born in St. Louis Missouri, 1993) presently lives and works in Treviso, Italy. He received a BFA from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2016 and was the winner of the 2015 Aperture portfolio prize.

His work employs computer simulations as well as analog photographic processes to deal with landscape and exploration in contemporary photography. The title refers back to Nikonowicz’s way of working within multiple realities; further blurring the line between the real world and the technological one created by humans. Eloquently stating in an interview with the Calamita Project, “The unexplored space of our generation exists within the boundaries of technology or is mediated by technology.”
