Jérôme Licht’s journalistic photography depicts the life of a modern-day Jack Kerouac.

The images, taken in the moment and almost as far from editorial as possible, are day-to-day snapshots of an existence on the move — whether it be rooftops, vacant pools, or open fields. Saturated with color and vitality, the randomness of his images works because of the continual spontaneity. Just as the Beats did, Licht and his friends are searching for something other than monotony and routine. And they are succeeding.
