Shinya Arimoto’s black and white photographs from the streets of Japan focus on the eclectic mix of individuals that make up a massive population.

Arimoto currently teached photography at the Tokyo School of Visual Arts and is the director of the artist-run Totem Pole Photo Gallery founded in 2008. When he's not teaching, the photographer can almost always be found in the streets, where he can shoot up to 10 rolls of film a day at times.
