the landscape photography of Weerapong Chaipuck

February 26, 2014

The abundant color, texture and unique artistry of Weerapong Chaipuck's photography stems from his talents in long-exposure, patience and timing. Specializing in landscape photography and the affect that seasons have on atmosphere and lighting, Chaipuck retired from his medical profession to travel the remote parts of Southeast Asia, capturing its impassioned beauty through the eye of a lens.

Despite periodically using Photoshop, Chaipuck states that the teeming color and effects in his photos are predominantly natural. He explains in detail to Bored Panda, "When shooting landscapes, it is 100 percent natural, and pinpointing the exact time of day to shoot, whether that be 30 minutes before the sun begins to rise or 30 minutes before sunset, is a constant challenge. But that's also what makes it all worth it."
