Belgian photographer, Frieke Janssens got into photography at the young age of 15 and has branded a unique style of photography to call her own.
All her surreal photographs are well-planned before the actual shoot and her “Smoking Kids” series is a fine example of this type of work. It was inspired by a YouTube video of a chain-smoking Indonesian toddler. This series questions the impact of media pushing cigarettes. There were no real cigarettes or tobacco smoke used on the set of these photographs to assure the safety of the kids. You can see her complete portfolio of fine art and commercial work here.
