“Sex on Campus,” a series of images shot by New York/New Orleans based photographer Marisa Chafetz for New York Magazine depicts the rather unglamorous life of a modern college student.

The collection is a progression of unconnected moments, from getting ready for a night out to rude awakenings the morning after. Chafetz, an undergraduate student studying Studio Art at Tulane University, is able to accurately represent the population in focus because she is one. She understands the lifestyle of no privacy, of ever-present beer cans, and of spur-of-the-moment tattoos more than any adult could reminisce of.
