Roy DeCarava is one of the great photographers of the 20th Century, and his contributions to documenting the civil rights movement, Harlem and the Jazz legends of the day captured some of the greatest moments of the era. When we were looking back on the works of DeCarava presented in Soul of Nation, it made us look through some of his classic shots of Jazz but also caught this nice short clip NPR made of his career.
