Open at Noon is a project by Mexico-City based photographer Mark Alor Powell. Presented without introduction or any sort of statement, the series is full of images that feel familiar, but are tinged with a sense of something beyond this world. Vaguely odd, but beautifully shot, portraits punctuate the work and, along with humorous and eerie landscapes, have the viewer questioning what exactly they are looking at. The work challenges our perception of the world we have come to know and offers a slightly cynical (and maybe a little sinister) point of view.
