Mona Kuhn: Acido Dorado

May 04, 2015

We are huge fans of Mona Kuhn here at Juxtapoz, and even though this body of work was shown at Edwynn Houk Gallery in late 2014, we love her latest series "Acido Dorado." As the press release stated, "Kuhn’s newest body of work is Acido Dorado, set inside architect Robert Stone’s secluded golden palace in Joshua Tree National Park, California. In this series, Kuhn explores her close friend and collaborator Jacintha, interacting with the American desert. Shallow pools, mirrored ceilings and glass walls frame sandy colored hallucinations filled with dreamy light leaks and seductive reflections."
