This could be any city. And that is what Gallotta began to realize as he was capturing his first black and white series in his own town.
Originally with a plan to shoot derelict street photography of Worcester, Massachusetts, Gallotta frames an unidentifiable yet universal sense of Americana. He states, "There's a certain kind of diversity here that is unparalleled anywhere else on earth–post 1960's industrial wasteland laid directly next to a vacuum for immigrants, punks, organized crime, and higher education. Just like the railroad tracks that divide the city into east and west–they walk immaculate beyond an unknown horizon."
