In her series “Lost Boys”, Liz Calvi photographs boys of Generation Y.

In each photo, Calvi captures a distinct tenderness and openness from her subjects. The boys look sudbued—at times relaxed or just sprawled out. Mixed in with the portraits are images of suburban reverie: an overgrown street intersection, the foggy corner of a pond, a backyard pool. With these images, at once mundane and exposed, Calvi provides a corrective to stereotypes of the masculinity, Generation Y and the possibilities of the female gaze.
