In her series “Childhood Lost”, UK-based photographer Justyna Neryng collaborated with her daughter Nell to create enchanting theatrical portraits. Drawing inspiration from Golden Age Dutch paintings, Neryng depicts childhood characters from stories and dreams. She explains on her website, “By drawing on paintings as inspiration I am hoping to give a timeless feel to the final images. The key to the project is the painstaking styling and prop building, which I am us-ing to evoke these different persona played out by my daughter”.
